Quotes & pricing

Quotes are valid for 30 days unless the quote says otherwise.
Prices are labour plus materials unless stated. Materials are charged as listed on the quote.
Prices assume rectified porcelain tiles. Natural stone, mosaics, herringbone, chequerboard and large-format tiles are priced separately as shown.
Silicone, tanking/waterproofing, underfloor heating, self-levelling and tiled skirting are extras, only included if they're listed on the quote.
Jobs with a round trip of over 2 hours have an extra £20 per day.
Small jobs have a minimum charge of one day (£300).
Anything not on the quote (extra areas, changes of tile, unforeseen prep like uneven floors or damaged walls) will be agreed and priced before I do it.

A 30% deposit secures your start date. Dates aren't held until it's paid.
The balance is due on completion, payable within 7 days by bank transfer.
Materials stay my property until paid for in full.
If the balance isn't paid within 7 days of completion, I may charge interest at 4% a year above the Bank of England base rate on the overdue amount, plus any reasonable recovery costs.

If you supply the tiles, they must be rectified and arrive on site in enough quantity (allow 10-15% extra for cuts and waste). I'm not responsible for delays, shade/batch differences or defects in tiles you supply.
Tiles I supply are ordered once the deposit is paid. Special-order tiles can't be returned or refunded once ordered.

You provide access, a water supply, electricity and a clear work area. Old fixtures and tiles must be removed before I start unless we've agreed otherwise.
Work is usually carried out Monday to Friday. Weekend work may be arranged by agreement.
I'm not responsible for existing faults uncovered during the job (e.g. damp, rotten floorboards, loose plaster). We'll discuss and price these before I carry on.
Grout and silicone need time to cure. Showers and wet areas shouldn't be used for at least 24-48 hours after completion (I'll confirm on the day).
Natural variation in tile colour, veining and shade is normal and not a defect.

If we agree this contract away from my business premises (for example after a home visit, or by phone or message), you have the right to cancel within 14 days of agreeing it, without giving a reason, and get a full refund. To cancel, tell me clearly by email or text (callum@robsonceramics.com / 07506 451825). If you ask me to start within those 14 days and then cancel, you pay for the work done and materials ordered up to that point.
After 14 days, the deposit is non-refundable if you cancel or postpone with less than 7 days' notice, because I'll have turned down other work for those dates.

I guarantee my workmanship for 12 months from completion. This doesn't cover damage from misuse, building movement, structural or plumbing problems, or materials you supplied.
